While still savoring the tremendously popular run of “Oklahoma!”
last April, Stage Door went right to work building a
dynamite lineup for the coming season. For the spring show,
we are eagerly anticipating another great collaboration with
The Ballet Workshop and Cascade Foothills.
The season begins this fall with “The Compleat
Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)”. Don’t let the title scare you.
This show is most often described as hilarious. Save your abs
workout for after the show because you will likely be exhausted from
laughter.
The season then brings the return of
Bob
Milne in concert. For those who don’t know him, he is probably the
best pianist you will ever experience. His informal storytelling
endears everyone and his diversity in style and history is nothing
short of awesome.
We are then delivering a special treat
for Christmas as we present Orson Welles’ Campbell Soup Theatre
version of “A Christmas Carol”. See how live radio shows used to be
broadcast complete with sound effects while enjoying some of your
favorite desserts.
And the spring finale for the season is
“Kiss Me Kate”. This Cole Porter masterpiece has something for
everybody. The familiar music, the comedy, the drama, and the
romance all come together for a wonderfully unforgettable show.
If Oklahoma put you back on your heels last season, just wait.
The excitement is growing and the anticipation is building because
our calendar of shows is now set to go off with a bang. It’s all
good news.
